Colors: See our current site for colors, main colors are: Gold/Yellow, Dark Grey, Light Grey - Secondary color that’s being used is that Light Blue, but that doesn’t need to be used (I do want a Secondary color used to emphasize actions we want people to take)
As you'll see from some of the sites we like, we like a nice clean look (read: white) However, we've used the light grey, yellow bar, dark grey in much of our branding so far (see our current site, attached business cards, and thank you card example). If you can figure out a way to make it still feel like someone has gotten to the right place when the visit our site from our current pieces while also achieving a nice clean (read:white) look, that would be good - I'm not sure if this is even possible.
Textures: I’d like to make the design fairly flat and clean (like the design direction that Apple and Google have gone most recently)
Shapes: The yellow bar across the site is used in many of our other marketing pieces and should probably remain in some fashion
Typography: I’d like to move away from paid fonts and use something open source or free to use commercially. In our other marketing pieces we’ve been using the PT Sans family, but I’d be more than willing to step away from it if you have a better option that has a high end feel.
Overall feel should be high quality, high end, and clean - but not uber wealthy elegance (not frilly and victorian).
Design with responsive design in mind, think about how things will be able to move based on different screen sizes.
