KLECT
We are a tech group who started this company but are lacking the creative design for the look and feel of our web site. The site is to promote inventory management, trading and community for collectors (IE: baseball cards, barbies, etc). We are a start up and launching the site in mid July at a small national collector's conference focused on one of the personal collection types. A good creative design, no childish, but keeping it clean and professional is what we are looking for. Keep it simple is best :) Thanks!!
This site will be visited by both young and old, male and female, so a clean simple look is ideal. As a new site, there is no current traffic as we don't launch for a month still. Look and feel like a facebook/ebay/google with some light flair :). Users will, after login, be greeted by their dashboard to display their collection inventory. They can add and remove items from a visual catalog of items. There is a forum for users to communicate and share amongst each other. Users are all collectors, passionate about their hobby and will be segregated into their own collection specific communities.
We are needing a 'look and feel' for our website. "Layered PNG or PSD file, no XHTML/CSS needed.".
Login page will have general site info and login/create account info. Design will be carried through to user dashboard where user collection specifics can be displayed, viewed and edited.
We will want something we can grow with and kept 'specific collection agnostic' so as we add collection types. Please no pictures of items.
No cartoons, nothing overly formal. Trying not to say 'bland' but fresh and clean with a welcoming feel.
No stock photos/clip art please.
The logo is just KLECT in a bold type, so there is no color or design constraint there.
Colors are open, some interest in a light, fresh green (not bright or pastel). No black background please. White preferred.
Colors preferred to be with a transparency so to not overwhelm, as the screens will have thumbnail images of items on them.
Feel free to ask questions too at : ryan@klect.com
We have a rough example in photoshop based on stamps but this is just an example for a clean look and feel. This was the extent of our abilities :)
Really looking forward to your submission and design!
