eReader Central is an authority site about eBook readers. Up until today we designed and maintained the site at http://www.ereadercentral.org
We now want to do a complete make over to the site while still maintaining its general feel.
We help Internet users make the best unbiased choice when conducting their market research about eBook readers.
The market I'm talking about is the eBook readers' market and the website is an information center about eReaders.
The main target audience are consumers.
Men and women 40+ with a medium-high income level. The secondary target audience are man at the age of 20-35 with high income levels - that come from the high tech industry.
We're trying to create a subtle mix of a friendly UI with the sent of an advanced website.
There is a general website design characterization PowerPoint document attached. Make sure to go over it.
We need a design for the whole website (6 pages total). The website, as stated before needs to send out a vibe that is first of all friendly and inviting, but also conservative, distinguished and professional (the user needs to feel that this is an authority site about eBook readers).
For this contest please submit a design for each one of the pages.
Site that we liked:
http://www.consumersearch.com/ - Take a look at their homepage, especially the box in the center that sends out the right message.
http://99designs.com - The simplicity of the homepage is something that I value a lot.
Remember that this is a makeover to an already existing site so try to keep some general lines from the old site (although if you think that there is nothing to work with there you're welcomed to try something new).
Site should be compatible with most browsers and screen resolutions.
The wireframes provided are a general guideline - Expect for the homepage which is complete. Use your creativity to fill in what's missing.
There is no need to use our former logo if you have a better idea.
Do your best.
