I’m looking to start the redesign of an existing website- heritagerealestateny.com. I would like to start with 3 pages: The Home Page, Property Search Page, & A Neighborhood Profile Page.
For the Home Page I would like to have the attached logo in the left hand corner with the main tabs being Properties, Clients, Neighborhoods, Blog, and Contact. Centered below that I would like a picture as the focal point that will change periodically to attract users to go to different portions of the website. Under the picture I would like a few icons as short cuts to other parts of the website like: “Sellers”, “Buyers”, “Investors”, “Renters”, and “Commercial”. I would like the buttons to allow some space for a sentence or two to describe it. I’ve included a screen shot of a website example I saw on here to illustrate what I mean.
For the property Search Page, I would like something modern and minimalistic. I would like the feature to be designed in such a way that it attracts users to use our site to search for any properties in the area, even if they plan on completing the transaction with another company. A cross between http://www.houlihanlawrence.com/search/ and http://www.elliman.com/advanced-search.
For the Neighborhood profile, I would to like a creative template to share information on the neighborhoods we serve. I’m looking for it to be modern and inviting enough for people to do their research with us, once we fill in all the content. http://www.elliman.com/new-york-city/manhattan is an example of something similar. I would just like the rest of the neighborhood profiles that’s all the way at the bottom to come up more to entice people to click on it. I would also like to include other things about the neighborhood like statistics, main attractions, etc, hopefully while staying on the same page. http://www.houlihanlawrence.com/com…nt_vernon/ does a good job of this, I would just like it more condensed, so it’s easier to get to the information. http://www.corcoran.com/nyc/Neighborhoods/Index the map feature here is really cool as well.
