Fine Art Site needs a classy fresh new look!!

Family Copies

We are a small family business based in the UK creating reproductions of paintings. We enjoy working in the world of fine art and the interesting people we get to meet through working in this industry.

The goal of the site is to generate phone calls and emails to us. We are no longer selling anything online through the site.

Most of our clients are British upper class families who can no longer afford to insure their family paintings and so they sell them at auctions, normally through Christie's, Sotheby's and Bonham's (www.Christies.com and http://www.sothebys.com).

Although this describes most of our client base at the moment, we would ideally like the website to attract an international and diversified clientele.

We would like the website to look classy, traditional, with an up-to-date look. We would like a COMPLETELY new design of site. We find the current site to be very outdated so please be as creative as you wish.

You are free to be creative in all areas, fonts, colors, layouts -everywhere. The only thing to keep is the logo really and some of the text (which you will see from the text file).

I have uploaded a text file consisting of the text on each page and a file of the current logo. You will see that we have removed some of the pages and updated the names of the page links.

We encourage you to find pictures of paintings yourselves as examples to include in your design. Please do not feel required to use pictures from the current site. We also encourage you to use pictures wherever and however you wish. Please go ahead and do whatever you like.

***Our process does NOT include the use of paint so please AVOID pictures of tubes of paint etc. Paint BRUSHES are fine as we DO use brushes for the finish but our process uses photographs in the initial stage, not an artist. ***

PLEASE NOTE: We have hosted a contest before and know that there can be bickering between contestants with some accusing others of copying their designs. It is obvious to us when someone has copied someone else's design so there is no need for contestants to leave nasty comments for one another. Thank you.
