We are a BBQ based restaurant located in Venice, CA opening our 2nd location in Hollywood. We play lot's of 80's music and videos and want to do an 80's type cool t-shirt for our staff that customers can also buy. Think rocker concert t-shirts like Journey, Def Leppard, White Snake, etc. Something with a cool vintage look/feel. Junk Food also does some cool stuff - http://www.junkfoodclothing.com/men…leeve.html. You can visit us online at http://www.PorkBellysLA.com - we are changing our name from Pork Belly's to Chop Daddy's but same logo shape/design. We don't have a specific design we want but it does need the logo somewhere - but the design we're open on - just something cool and we're obviously in the food business.
As for colors - you are free to alter the coloring of our logo. We may print the design on different colored shirts and envision a multi-colored design.
I do like the design idea of having our name in cool font/letters on the top with a cool image below. Something similar to this:http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0384/0921/products/the-trooper-iron-maiden-shirt.1.jpeg?v=1398770521http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0384/0921/products/tony-stark-black-sabbath-shirt.1.jpeg?v=1398797358but remember, we're a restaurant - so not an overly aggressive design and no skulls/bones
We're also thinking of using some type of image/design of a man cutting meat or working the BBQ grill - see attached photo below. It can't be identical but something similar. It could even be a pig not a man....
UPDATED NOTES FOR 2nd ROUND:
I uploaded a new jpeg - Big Earl's t-shirt - this has a cool look/feel.
If you're looking to add a tag line - which you don't have to - you could use 'Home of The Belly Up'
Want a faded, worn t-shirt look, something comfortable. Similar to the faded look in #12
Like a character similar to 42 & 43 – it needs to be friendly, not aggressive. It can be a man or pig or pig/man. But should have some detail and be warm and inviting.
Want depth and detail in the design, similar to the Big Earl’s photo uploadGoing to print on grey or black t-shirts, NOT white or red. We like the red/orange and
blue/white color palette we’ve seen. But we’re also open to a colorful multicolor design. It should pop and be very eye catching.
Grey t-shirts – probably blue/white palette
Black – probably red/orange palette
Doesn’t have to have our logo but it can – but the logo shouldn’t be the focal point of the design if included. And you can take re-purpose it creatively using different colors, etc.
Fonts we like – similar to #20, #38, #3
DON'T put the url on the shirt
DON'T put ‘Voted Top 10 Restaurants in LA’ or ‘Sandwich Shop’
