totally free to be creative. A good example is the simplicity on a labe of wine called PURPLE ANGEL. Not to copy this, of course, but I want exactly what the word ENCANTADO MEANS, ENCHANTING/CHARMING.
The little touch of gold foil line, simple and elegant on PURPLE ANGEL attracts women. Naturally we wish to attract BUYERS no matter the gender but the grace and simpleness of that label attracts the eye. The splashes are great and although purple is not my color the concept there works perfect.
So I need creativeness, not copying, simple yet elegent and not crowded and busy or nervous looking.
Remember, I must put the wording on the label, something like MALBEC, the year, maybe old vines/single vineyard or RESERVA. Not much however, I will keep words to a minimum also but the label must look elegant not cheap but not gaudy or crass looking. I want that bottle to stand out amound the dozens of others on the shelf, but not loud or "campy" looking but AGAIN, elegant and simple and interresting enough to pick up and read the back label.
Last point is I am totally for having a non square looking label, maybe something with cut looking feathered edges, odd but great looking shape, feel free to go the limit there as long as the shape of the label goes with elegance and works with the design itself.
