I'd like to start with a template for the poster. The size will be 16" x 24".
My plan is to partner with nursing homes, and through an interview with the resident and the family, glean the 'joie de vivre', the highlights of their life/essence and put into a poster format which would be in every resident's room. The nursing home employees, from CNA's to Dr's, to Housekeeping would be trained to refer to the poster to connect and appreciate the resident, especially if resident has dementia and can't communicate their personhood. The poster could also be a family legacy (go in their great grandchildren's room), and also, a template and visual for an 'end of life ceremony'. The information I want to include is : Their name at the top, and how they prefer to be addressed. Some overview of their life, and also some small details that flesh out what they enjoyed most of all (smell of lilacs, cloudy days, etc., their grandma's rhubarb pie).
I want the text to be readable, and eye-catching, and I want the templates to be readily recognized as a "Celeboard" brand. You can play with the text in any way, alter sentences, use bullet points, vary the fonts considerably, use lists, etc. I also would like to have a picture of the resident somewhere, and their signature, as well.
I provided the information in a document, and a (bad) design example. I have uploaded Judy Miller's signature and photo.
I'd like the designer to create the template in a format that can be uploaded into Microsoft Word, or Illustrator (I am not that savvy with technology and want to be able to change text/photo as easily and quickly for each poster. After I've found a design that suits the project, I want to hire the designer to create other template options, as well as logo/marketing materials.
