A twenty-third century city has been constructed on Earth under a dome, to protect its citizens from a natural world polluted by a catastrophic global war. The rules of citizenship, however, are brutal and relentless. Jupiter, the city's Supreme Leader, claims such rules are the only way to maintain peace for what’s left of the human race. When a young woman named Faron discovers her parents’ deaths were no accident and her body is changing in unfathomable ways, she begins to question the values of her society.
