Novus Pontis translates to "New Bridge". This logo was a finalist. I used a mature, masculine font and colors based on the client's request. I also incorporated the graphic of a stylized suspension bridge to tie in with their name. IMO, the logo they selected was OVER-simplified (as viewable on their website). But I totally appreciate the consideration my design was given!
