I am a guy who *really* appreciates designers-- particularly because I don't have any design skills myself :\. I work in silicon valley and have a lot of varied interests, including music, video, and creating silly websites. I was inspired by Michael Anderson's visual infographic resume and would like the same for myself. I need a creative, talented designer's help!
Jonathan Ive (only somewhat kidding)
I'd like you to recreate the equivalent of Michael Anderson's infographic resume (see attached). It can match pretty closely or can be pretty different-- so long as it has the same infographic-y visual appeal. People who see it should say "wow" but then on further analysis realize that there's really useful, interesting information in there.
Deliverable should be in Photoshop (.psd) layered format (.ai too if available). For your submissions, please just include pretend content so that I can update it myself in Photoshop. Some ideas for charts/graphs to include on page (some from Michael Anderson, some new):
- Timeline of my life & experience, education, etc. over time
- Skill set "pie chart" (i.e. music, video, web design, etc.)
- Breakdown of what I do each day (i.e. 30% sleep, 15% eating, 50% working)
- Daily input (i.e. coffee, blogs, books, etc.)
- List of most important things to me (i.e. family, my ukulele, etc.)
Feel free to choose any number of those to include on the page; the only mandatory is the first one (timeline). Priority is that it have a creative, beautiful design. See my CV at http://jasontoff.com/resume2009.pdf for some of my past experiences-- but please keep design/creativity the priority. I can help fit content to the design afterward :).
The size should be a sheet of paper (ideally landscape, but could be portrait).
Excited to see your creations!
