We are a startup company that is developing a new consumer product for women who are sexually active. The product is a travel-sized “kit” that contains condoms, a mini tube of lubricant, compact moist towelettes and breath mints. It will be packaged in a small recyclable zippered bag with fun graphics (similar to a cosmetic case) that can be easily carried in a handbag. The product will be designed to give women a convenient and fun way to never be without the necessities for safe spontaneous sexual encounters.

We are looking for a stylish "cosmetic" bag design for our new product called the MONA. MONA stands for “My Over Night Accessories.” We also think of MONA as the girlfriend (wing woman) that goes out with you on a Saturday night or is your backup on a weekend camping trip. She’s the answer to the question, “Did you remember to bring M.O.N.A. with you?”
The bag will be 3" x 4" with a top zipper. The material recyclable and can be printed in 4 color on the entire surface. Photos examples of a similar bag showing the size and material have been attached (we don't like that design for our bag but you can see what the printing can be like). We want the design to be fun yet also classy and somewhat understated given that the product is a "safe sex kit" for women.
Focus group participants on our logo thought that the logo design captured the essence of what we were going for and we want the bag design to have the same flavor. We did receive several comments that the red color of the logo was "too much" so this can be changed to integrate with the bag design. We would like the logo to be on at least one side of the bag (large or small depending on the background graphics/photos.
The design should appeal to our core target audiences and be memorable but not overtly sexual. Even though the kit is sexual in nature, the bag should look classy and not corny or crude. The goal is to make it something that a woman would feel comfortable carrying in her purse or in a suitcase or backpack and also be interested in buying because of how it looks. The bag design is really the star of this product.
Please read the attached creative brief (yes it's brief) for information about the target audience. Also attached are 3 photos of a sample bag showing size, shape and material. Finally, the MONA logo has been included which provides some direction on the desired branding.
