Beschreibung der Organisation und Ihrer Zielgruppe
The poster is to promote World Day for Audiovisual Heritage. The UNESCO World Day for Audiovisual Heritage (World Day) is celebrated each year on 27 October and highlights the importance of audiovisual archives and archivists in the preservation of our cultural heritage. Audiovisual materials include digital and analog media - film, video, broadcast television and radio and audio recordings of all kinds. Audiovisual collections reflect how we live now and in the past - all of the things that collectively make up our cultural heritage. These include feature films, television programmes, concerts (and music clips) but also home movies, speeches, social media, sports, news and dance.
Archives, libraries, museums, and universities around the world plan activities such as screenings, lectures, exhibits, tours, etc each World Day. The poster will be available for organizations around the world to promote World Day and these activities.
The poster audience is the general public - to raise awareness of archives and the work they do, and to encourage the public to take part in World Day celebrations where they can. The audience also includes public officials and managers who oversee cultural heritage organizations and often have no more perspective of this work than the general public.
The theme for World Day is “Your Window to the World”. Media is our window to the world and preservation of that media is our window to our past. Potential representations could include audiovisual archivists at work, audiovisual materials, audiences enjoying audiovisual content, the creation of audiovisual content, the impact of audiovisual content, or other such related topics.
About the organization: The Coordinating Council of Audiovisual Archives Associations (CCAAA) coordinates World Day each year on behalf of UNESCO. CCAAA is a network of relevant international professional archive organisations that reflect a broad range of interests across the broadcast media, arts, heritage, education and information sectors. Its member organisations represent different aspects of audiovisual materials which include films, broadcast television and radio and audio recordings of all kinds and it speaks with a common voice with the aim of promoting and encouraging the recognition of the audiovisual heritage as part of the world’s cultural and documentary heritage, and the preservation and the accessibility of the audiovisual heritage on an international level.

We are looking for a fresh look, not reminiscent of our last poster.
