The product for this contest will be used in marketing the online release of the film--a new musical adaption of EMMA.

OVERVIEW
We are in need of a key art poster for a new musical adaptation of Jane Austen’s romantic classic, EMMA.

Minimalistic, flexible design. The title treatment should be unique and work independently of the image/background and be flexible enough to use in other applications. We want to highlight this is a new take on the classic Austen story (and it’s a musical).

Details are provided below and we are open to creative ideas within the scope of the concept.

CONCEPT
Bold image featuring titular character, Emma, set against an illustrated mid-century modern background. Emma should stand out, be the focus of the design and indicate the charming, playful but softer/endearing qualities of the character.

Paul Gordon’s critically acclaimed stage adaptation re-imagines the Austen’s classic in mid-century modern yet keeps the language intact.
