We are looking for a visual that would be compelling for our eponymous (self-titled) album cover, and it might be used on apparel, posters, and other merch, either in its original or a derivative form.
We have a preference for black and white (perhaps) with a touch of color (preference, but not limited, for violet and/or red). We want something evocative; what is left outside (omitted from) the frame may be as important as what is shown. In other words, what is implied could be as important as what is included. We like the idea of charcoal drawing style but do not intend that to be limiting.
Some possible aspects to include may be (not required or limited to):
• Human traits (especially, but not necessarily feminine) - lips, eyes, hands, silhouette, profile…
• High heels as wardrobe or as a symbol
• Animal(s) or Traces of an animal or animals - claw marks, bites, etc… shadow. We particularly like a wolf as a symbol.
• Whatever the concept of a "hungry creature" may inspire in you.
• We like shadows.
We'd rather have our band/album name in a sans serif or display font on the cover, but we are open to a textless drawing too. If text, we like the idea of an emphasis on the "H" and "C" of Hungry Creatures, with the other letters less featured, and we're open to playing with the design, style, integration, and direction of the text.
STRONG preference for original drawings.
We don't want something that's too sexually explicit, nor aggressive. Please, nothing that evokes a Fifty Shades Of Grey or Twilight book cover. That doesn't suit us.
We don't want to be on our album cover.
Thanks for your creativity. :)
