Overall, great job, guys! I’ve discussed the designs with my manager and we have some tweaks (look at where it says CHANGES below).
We are looking to make a welcome package for new residents moving into buildings that use the BuildingLink (BLK) software. The welcome package will include deals and coupons provided by retailers to welcome residents into their new homes (for example "20% off all household items in store"). The retailers include various companies that have products for the home, for example, Bed, Bath, and Beyond; Target; etc.
There are 3 components of this design:
ENVELOPE: Now we’re thinking of using a white 9 x 12 envelope (image uploaded), but without the window. At the bottom we would like two things: 1) A graphic that somehow conveys the idea of welcoming someone home. It can take up a fairly large amount of space on the bottom of the envelope. 2) Room for a generic welcoming phrase. For now, use “Welcome to the Neighborhood!” The envelope does NOT need the BuildingLink logo anymore.
FLYER: The flyer is still 8.5 x 11 inches. For the flyer, allow more room for the building to customize it. They might want a header with their building name and logo and a footer with their address and other relevant information. Make up a building name if you want or just put “Building Name.” Include some friendly graphics if you like! Also allow room for the template message. The template message for now can be “Hi, [name of resident]. We’re so glad to have you at [building name]. Included are some great offers from local retailers interested in meeting you. Welcome to the neighborhood!”
POSTCARD: The offers will be displayed on postcards. The companies supplying the offers will give us a bar code for the coupon. The postcard should have seven components: Store Name, Store Logo, Expiration Date or “Valid Use” Dates, Barcode, Offer/Deal, Small Print Details, Space for Graphics. Can you make a template that allows vendors to input these details into these spaces? The “catch” here is that we want the coupon to look upscale. It should also be clean, exciting, and welcoming. Thank you!
As a whole, we really want residents to be EXCITED to open this up. They should feel that this is a WELCOME package, not junk mail! We want this to put a smile on each resident’s face.
