We need a prototype for an update of our current eShop, which only be for the American market.
Currently, our eShop allows the end user to search for a stone based on his budget, and then filter the results according a multitude of criteria. After the purchase, the user has the option of leaving his stone in his virtual vault, or requesting a home delivery.
In the new version we wish to create, the user will have 2 options:
1) Delivery at home for $ X
2) Delivery to his local jeweller for FREE with a $150 credit which will be used to mount the stone on a piece of jewellery and have it designed according the the buyer's preference.
When opting for option 2, the buyer will put his State and City, and will find a jeweller closest to his house.
We also want to implement a DHL & FEDEX module to track all deliveries straight from the user's account.
The "Expert Deals" search section will be available on the home page instead of only when the user logs in. It should be a simple horizontal bar, as opposed to a full page dedicated to that search function. Under the search bar, we will have 3 additional boxes that the user can tick:
We will define the range of these parameters ourselves. The idea is for the user to be on the home page and be able to do a search directly from there. He puts the amount just as he would in the Expert Deals page, and he can tick either 1 or all 3 of the aforementioned additional boxes. Once he confirms, he's taken to a results page just as it is on our current interface.
Currently, we have it set up in the current way: The client has to deposit, and then purchase the stone. We want to have a more 'classic' eCommerce approach whereby the user has a basket from which he can check out.
What we also want to achieve is a countdown which will refresh every 10 minutes, to warn the users of potential offers which they could be missing. So, the latest diamonds with the best offers will be updated every 10 minutes, but they should take advantage of the current ones in case the price rises, as it is likely to do.
