We have decided to go with the name Koru for our company. We
are planning on offering Koru box as the subscription vitamin delivery service,
but we’ll also give a name to the individual Koru products (such as Koru
Heartpack or Koru Heart bundle. Thus, we are looking for a logo for Koru box with
a different font/look for ‘Koru’ and for ‘box’, keeping in mind that the word
box will be substituted for other words (in the same style font) on the
packaging and in various places on the website.
Quick word on Koru:
Koru is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver
fern frond and symbolizing new life, growth, strength and peace. It originated with
the Maori in New Zealand, however, we are selling the product in the US so we
don’t need our logo to have anything to do with New Zealand.
We like the simple logos that were designed for the preliminary
competition, and we are looking for a similar look with this name. We aren’t
looking for a complex spiral, but maybe something simple on one of the letters
in Koru to give the word a little character. Don’t feel like you necessarily
have to use a spiral type shape at all.
Everything else about our original design brief
(other than the name) is the same; we are still targeting baby boomers with a
subscription vitamin service.
****** End of Update*********
We are starting a nutrition company selling supplement pouches targeted to specific health conditions. For example, there will be a heart health pack that contains 30 pouches (1 month supply) of 4 pills each. There will also be memory packs, immunity packs, etc. We are targeting the baby boomer demographic (ages 45 - 70) and plan to sell primarily through an online subscription model. In this regard, we are similar to subscription box services such as Bulu box, Birch box, Blue Apron, etc. However, we would like to keep the possibility open of selling our products via other channels as well, including brick and mortar stores. Our primary value proposition is that we are simplifying the very confusing nutraceutical world by selling daily packs of everything you need to manage your health concerns.
