Smart Hound Solutions
25 year veteran educator, policy maker, researcher, strategic planner starting my own consulting business. Clients include those I've worked with over the last 20 years who value my 'smart girl' abilities. I tell people I am now a 'smart girl for hire'. Sadly ' Smart Girl Solutions' was already taken. Most everyone I work with knows I have greyhounds so Smart Hounds Solutions was the name.
I gather, analyze and report on data, do project evaluations, advise and write policy, statutory language, consult with school boards, school leaders, and private organizations in education and healthcare.
My personal and work style is east coast urban directness, and confidence, with a midwest country upbringing.
I want my company to reflect that the smarts I bring translate into solutions that produce solid evidence of success.
Targeting existing education policy market (Boards of Education, State Boards of Education, Policy Makers like the National Governors Association, National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, etc.), researchers (in K-12 Education and healthcare patient service provider education) School leaders (principals), and education entrepreneurs (Teach for America, KIPP Knowledge is Power Program, New Leaders for New Schools
Need logo design to be scale able for use in various documents (invoice, cards, note cards, potentially web site, power points,) hate ariel and times new roman fonts, like century gothic type fonts(but please don't limit yourself to that as you are the expert here)
Nothing 'cute' kindergarten-y. If graphic of a dog body is used (and you may choose not to do that - I'm not married to it) would prefer something sleek, stylistic. Of course my 'breed' signature is greyhound so a basset hound, pit or poodle won't cut it.
Most of my current book of business comes from folks who know MY brand - but in building a brand with potential new client I need something more than "Susie Miller Barker"
Want something that translates into note cards as well as traditional stationary, cards and invoices. Color pallets I'm drawn to : Art Deco (greys maroons, black, white, silver, etc.) Blues in the 'royal' end of the blue spectrum (not turquoise tones), not orange, etc.
Attached photos of my place of business which is an 1847 brick front rowhouse (currently used on documents), a picture of me and my husband (thought you might get something from seeing what I look like, how I dress, etc...who knows this is my first time at this!), photos of my two current greyhounds, Gracie and Hatteras.
Thanks!
