This is the key art for a multimedia educational DVD set meant to serve as a case study of how to make a low-budget, independent film. This product will feature over 18 hours of behind-the-scenes inforamtion on 10-12 DVDs including:
Detailed interviews with the entire cast & crew.
Discussions on: casting, funding, contracts, schedule, budget, every day of production, technology, editing, writing, sound, music and more.
It will also contain contracts, call sheets, schedules, script drafts – all in their entirety – including every line of the actual budget.
We expect this product to retail in excess of $199 and it should be presented as a high quality, professional product.
The design must be tabloid size (11x17) at 300 dpi. The design must incorporate the logo concept, although the designer has free rein in altering the logo colors to suit/compliment the design.
The product is aimed at young, professionally-driven, independent filmmakers and should reflect their interests. It also should allow for things like endorsement quotes (mock up place holders). You don't need to list the features so much as convey what the product is like in a visually arresting way.
This is an excellent opportunity for future work as we will likely employ the winning designer to come up with the rest of the packaging.
