Smart Guide (http://www.SmartGuideToMarketing.com)
Our company is LGM3 LLC. We provide solutions to small business owners and professionals to help them become the sought-after expert in their area using social networking and internet marketing. We do coaching, training/education, websites, etc. for our clients.
The target for this book is someone new to (or not even on) Facebook who wants to use Facebook as part of a strategy to get more customers for their business.
What we've found in working with small business owners is that they often don't know what to say in their status updates on Facebook that would be engaging and thought provoking in order to get "friends" to respond.
Nobody wants to resort to SPAM, and nobody wants to post meaningless "I'm going to get coffee" updates that annoy their followers.
This book will give them 499 updates that follow the HICCUP principle (Humor, Information, Compassion & Caring, Understanding, Playful).
This will be a fun resource book that we'll be giving to clients and selling on the web. We want people to want to pick up the book.
So the fun book needs a clean fun cover that looks good sitting on the desk or bookshelf.
We are looking for the Front Cover and Spine design for the book. The book will be 5.5"w x 8.5"h. Probably in the range of 180 pages, so figure the spine will be about 5/8"w x 8.5"H. We'll want the image in a pdf and layered photoshop formats. We will also want the different components of the cover in 300 dpi jpeg and png files.
We want the cover to have a clean and fun look. It can be colorful or even cartoonish. We have another book that sets the look/feel for our brand. We would like to have some similar elements so the brand carries through. I will attach the PDF of that cover. We do not need to use the Character used on that design.
The cover will need the following:
-Full title "499 Smart Facebook Updates"
-Subtitle: "The Ultimate Guide for Professionals who don't know what to say on Facebook"
-Sub-Subtitle: "Also for those Professionals who don't realize they are driving clients away with their Boring Facebook updates"
-Two author names: Greg Pitstick first, William Brown second
The sub-sub title can be set off in some way (or at least smaller).
The winner will be credited as the cover designer inside the book, we will keep the copyright. We would also look to the winner first for the next book cover in the series which is being written right now (499 Smart Twitter Updates) as well as other in-book illustrations and web graphics that we'll need.
We would appreciate original work and do not want stock photos/graphics.
