BECK let’s us re-discover our inner child, this product is able to bring back the X/Y generation to their youth with a mix of series, anime, music videos and even adv classic spots. A community to remember the gone times, the best ones! Back doesn’t forget the present an the interactions between the past and current lives of the users.
Needs to be coherent with the logo provided and this idea of being retro but at the same time really connected to our current times.
This is a digital OTT product with videos and community elements for a 30 to 45 years old audience with a 50% mix of females and males

NOTE: to be selected as a winning designer you need to create an indesign (or similar service) clickable prototype of your design and keep this available to us for 24 months.
1. User lands on the main feed content page (after a splash animation of our logo at app launch). This feed page keeps our logo on top and has a selection of highlighted content selected by our editors. User can navigate from this page to the other 5 main sections of the app (Series, Anime, Music&Ads, Community, Shop) via a menu (up to you the decision on this menu, if it's tab based or not, if it's icon based or not...). Please note that the user must be able to come back to the feed page so I suggest to use the B from our logo as a way to allow this (either in the menu or via a different solution you can propose) . Other than the highlighted content module user can see a selection of top content from the other sections (typically these are videos with a bit of comments-community elements attached, simailar to a typical FB video piece of content in the main feed). User can scroll down to get more content (similar to a classic FB browsing). Video content is tagged in two ways, based on the category it belongs to (Series, Anime, Music&Ads) preferably with an iconic/color coding method and by an editorial tagging highlight (this is textual) with tags more related to the content itself (with tags like 'New', 'Just added', 'Most watched', 'Trending', 'Most talked').
There is also a way for user to access to a personal area (we won't need this page or an entire page at all if this is just a side element or a popoup).
2. Series page. Also in this case we have an highlight module and an easy way for user to understand they have landed into this section of the app (color coding?) other than the highlight module there is the ability to navigate the content using 3 internal page tabs (most watched, most discussed, all shows), the content of these tabs is a list of 15 videos (with social elements-comments) for the first two (user can directly click on the videos to play) while the last tab gives access to a all the series currently available in our catalogue (user in this case clicks on title and lands in a page with all the episodes available for a series and then clicks on a video to play it). Users move between those tabs via an horizontal swipe (or other UI-UX you create).
3-4. These pages are very similar to what described for page 2, but of course in this case the content images we see are related to anime (for page 3) and music and ads from the 80s (for page 4).
5. Community page is a bit different and includes a top module with the main topics launched by our editorial team to the community. Users lands on the 'Most discussed' internal tab where they have a view of the most discussed videos and topics within the community; in this case the video content has a bigger interaction/comments module and user is prompted to add a comment directly with an empty box for each post), other two tabs bring the users to the trivia section and to the Events&competition one.
Please note that the interaction element is predominant over the content in the community area with advanced interaction elements like emojis, polls, textual and video comments, sweepstakes, etc.).
6. Shop page is a mix of merchandising with t-shirts hats and cups with our logo and classic ecommerce of third party products from the 80-90s and dvd of the series and anime from those years. You will simply need to moke up this in one page highlightng those 2 main elements (merch and ecommerce) that live side by side (maybe you can keep the UI consisten by creating the top module with highlights of products from both categories and the two internal swipe tabs to go from merch to ecommerce.
Let me know if you need more direction. In attachment you can find the logo and some assets you can use for the videos-content side.
Please note that this is a first development for internal presentation only (so you can use pictures and eventual videos from everywhere), note that further development of the app design to bring it to a commercial stage will be done in the future.
Let's not make this another Netflix type of UI, let's try to make it feel more like a community based on video content rather then a simple and classic video ott app.
