Deconstruct Media is a web site that helps web sites sell their ad space to advertisers. We are disrupting the current balance of advertising networks and direct sales forces that currently monopolize the relationships of advertisers to web sites. We are aggressive and fast-moving.
Small and large web publishers are our target market.
I tend to be a minimalist when it comes to a great logo. I have found that my favorite logos tend not to be 3D, have crazy Web 2.0 bubbles or gradients, etc. I am open-minded and recognize that this is a unique situation, so maybe I am wrong here, but that is what I have found!
When I think about deconstruction, I tend to think of deconstructionism in painting, versus something like a building. Probably the most classic example of deconstructionism is Picasso's cubism period, when he broke down traditional precepts of how people look in paintings with his new postmodern critique of the human form. Think cubism! The words could be cubism, or there could be cubism going on around them.
Some of my favorite logos: Cogmap.com, beehivebaltimore.com
As you might imagine, the logo needs to demonstrate the versatility to work on a light or dark background and in black and white.
Update: The logo should be vector, duh. Also, the logo should be fun and bright. We are not a funeral home or a branch of the government. We are an Internet start-up. We are jeans and t-shirts bringing awesome new technology to the world.
