Wie Andy Robertshawe das erste logo design Abenteuer antrat
Taking Care of Business
We are a small IT design company made up of two brothers - one in New Zealand and one in Australia. Our company is called Missing Piece - our logo is a piece of a jigsaw puzzle. We are developing a great application for the iPhone which will allow business people to send quotes and invoices from their phone as well as recording time and materials spent on the job. We are excited about the potential of the iPhone as a portable computer and we think it is streets ahead of other phones in look, feel and functionality.
Erzählen Sie uns, wer Sie sind und wen Sie erreichen wollen?
Our target audience is business people – generally owners of a small business. Likely customers will also like IT and cool design. They are on the move and communicate by mobile phone, text and email constantly. They like to be able to do business at any time without having to be in the office.
We want a logo that is going to fit in with the whole Apple/ iPhone style. Our logo will be used as an icon on the iPhone menu, a splash screen and a title on the home page of our application. The logo needs to be available as both a square and a rectangle format. The square logo needs to have limited detail as it will be fairly small (see the Apple iPhone on the web for an example). I have attached a photo of the front screen of our application which shows the icons we have used in the application.
57 x 57 pixels with 90 degree corners
No shine; no gloss
Does not use alpha transparency
(Apple will ultimately add the glass overlay and rounded corners)
* AppStore icon
512 x 512 pixel version of Application icon
"subtly richer and more detailed" than Application icon
So the image needs to work well in the small format with apple's glass overlay and rounded corners - and it also needs to be dramatic when blown up large.
