Azimuth Security
We're a (very) small international consultancy specializing in computer security. Basically, we figure out how to break into software for a living, typically at the behest of sophisticated(ish) companies trying to defend themselves. We'll probably be launching some community resources and products down the line, but for now we're offering consulting services and training. HQ is in Sydney, Australia, though we'll probably be doing most of our business with US companies.
Corporate consulting clients, our peers and competitors. Customers will include fortune-500 corps as well as small to medium-sized software vendors. That sounds fairly boring, but since we're involved in computer security, we can get away with not being 100% conservative. That said, we're aiming for for something more or less professional and straightforward as people will be writing us large checks. (Or at least that's the idea.)
Looking for a versatile logo with a typeface and (probably) an icon or integrated graphic. This will ultimately be used for letterhead, business cards, printed reports, electronic deliverables, and a web site. We'll be looking to contract out that design work if we're happy with the results.
We'll probably need a couple of different orientations for use in different spots. (i.e. a horizontal layout, and a roughly square layout)
We're *not* looking for a security/hacker theme (i.e. no padlock / key / safe / different colored hats / Angelina Jolie in rollerblades / etc.)
We'll basically be happy with a random abstract geometric shape, apropos of nothing in particular. Anything vaguely looking like it's somehow related to geometry will probably work fine with the "Azimuth" theme.

So, clean, simple, modern. Nothing too elaborate or loud color-wise, nothing cartoony. Original work please - no stock images / clip art.
We don't really know what we're doing, but gradients, greys, different blues all sound ok. (Unless this is rubbish. You're the designers - you tell us. )
Speaking of things that are rubbish, attached is something I threw together in 5 seconds with a public domain image.
We'll want both high-quality vector-based graphics files suitable for being professionally printed, and lower-dpi files suitable for web / .docs.
