Supply Chain 2020 Consulting LLC Tagline: Connect - Communicate - Collaborate
Resume is attached but here is a brief story... I was formerly a VP with a supermarket chain (Wegmans, 28 years) and have decided to take a little time away to do some consulting. While I have a strong background in Supply Chain and Logistics, my real strength is in collaboration and building bridges from source (where products begin their life) to consumer and all of the points in between. I believe that people and relationships hold the key to the future and those companies who will be most successful are those who can help their people partner better with their business partners inside and outside the four walls of their organization. Relationships are primary, everything else is a derivative of that.
My other area of expertise is information sharing. I believe that there is a huge opportunity for companies to share information (transactional, strategic, priorities) better, not necessarily high tech but human. I believe that the trading partners who do that best will win in the end. The result of this collaboration, working together better and sharing information more effectively is an increase in sales, happier customers, happier people and an improved bottom line for all participants. Supply Chain 2020 has multiple meanings with 20/20 vision and the year 2020. Both are correct, 10 years is plenty of time to fix all that's broken!
My target audience is Retailers and Suppliers in industries that are very vertical today but can benefit from more horizontal interaction. All kinds of retail, healthcare (hospitals, drug companies, equipment manufacturers), manufacturing, big box stores (Best Buy, WalMart, Target) and all of those who supply them.
I'll be reaching out and using the logo on business cards, website (http://www.supplychain2020.com) and company letterhead.
I am looking for a logo and business card design that will embody the story above and my skills and abilities too.
I asked some friends for help and passed along some of my own ideas. that spotlighted vision too much and they thought I was underselling what I was really good at... identifying opportunities for companies to take their performance to the next level by leveraging relationships, collaborating, sharing information, reworking processes. The one visual that a few people liked was some kind of an Eye chart. My logo should connote forward thinking, results, action. I am not really experienced or all that interested in global supply chain proper (operations, trucks and moving product from point a to point b)... but I do believe strongly in people, collaboration, relationships and sharing, that the power of relationships can transcend any culture, any challenge that a business may encounter.
I have attached 3 files. One (sc2020globe.jpg) is a logo that a friend put together for me. I find it a little eerie...and a little too much of a play on one literal interpretation on the name of the company. The 2nd attached file is my resume that includes all of my contact information. The 3rd is a bunch of pics I sent to my network that got poor reviews.
My current title for the business card is:
Founder and Managing Partner
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
