We need a professional homepage designed for an ecommerce website. We will code the page. We just want a good design!
Desired Color Scheme:
No specified colour range but design must look clean.
Modern, professional, contemporary, trustworthy
Accepted File Formats:
Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff)
We are looking for a logo to represent our company name of 'JSM Imports'. We specialise in the importation and distribution of motorcycles, mopeds and quad bikes. We are looking for a logo that captures both the 'imports' and 'motorcycle/moped/quad' themes very well.
Some ideas could be arrows similar to recycle arrows going around the text to represent 'imports' and tyres or tyre tracks or even engines to represent 'motorcycles etc.'.
We do not have colours in mind but need the logo to look clean and professional. It must also be vector designed for print as well so Illustrator files would be a huge bonus.
We need the homepage of an ecommerce webstore designed. We will code it in. The website must match the logo. We also require a certain look which I will hopefully explain well for you in the points below.
Will include a logo to the left, a telephone number prominently placed to the right of the logo along with links (with icons) for 'view cart', 'my account' and 'contact us'.
There should also be a search bar in the header but it could go in the line below which I will explain now. Below the logo and cart links I want a navigation bar for text links.
This should obviously fit the design. You could put the search box in this navbar. The text links I want in the navbar are:
About JSM Imports Support Scooters Motorcycles Quads Promotions
A good example of how this technique is used can be seen in these sites:
http://www.voodoopc.com (obviously with a little less in height on the promo image)
Below the navbar I would like a promotional banner/header that can be changed with one image change or have flash loaded into the space.
The header should flow into the main content nicely.
The content section will be broken down into two distinct sections. One I will call 'main content', where the cart will actually appear and the other I will call 'right bar' The main content will make up 80% of the width of the page and the right bar the remainder.
In this section I want the bikes to be displayed in a quick-click way, like which can be seen at http://www.125scooters.cc . Obviously in this site design I would like each bike to be in flow with the design and in its own box or icon perhaps. The bike images should be large enough to grab the attention similar to those seen at: http://www.scooter.co.uk
You can use the images on http://www.125scooters.cc to represent this in your design. I think if you intitially set the design up to show 9 bikes (3 rows of 3), each with their own or matching boxes, borders, or surrounds, that would give me room to expand if neccessary in the future. The boxes/icons should contain the picture of the bike, room for the price, a brief description and a 'more info' button/text with perhaps an arrow encouraging the user to click.
In the right bar I want a few different 'promotion boxes' designed in. A good example of this tactic can be seen in this image
You can see 3 'boxes' to the right of the main content that are promoting various things on their site. I want something similar fitted into this design and the starting promotions you can work with are:
1) Win a Nintendo DS by subscribing to our newsletter
2) Best price Guarantee
3) Free helmet with every scooter purchase in february
In fact, use those above as well as the main content boxes you see on http://www.radiatorstyle.co.uk as they are pretty much spot on.
And then just draw me up some blank boxes for use at a later time if I find anything. I would prefer in each of these boxes room for both textual content as well as either icons or images.
I would also prefer it if these boxes weren't all identical (slightly different colours
perhaps for each or other similar means of differentiating one box from another without losing the flow of the design).
I would also like to show users how secure the site is and what payment methods are available like http://www.marshysmotorcycles.com either in this rightbar or somewhere else on the site that is in plain sight.
I would like the footer to include all the usual terms and conditions related information and copyright etc. I would also like the opportunity to include some sitewide links in the footer to help users quickly reach certain categories of the shop. These should not ook like an accessory to the site but look part of it and fit in nicely.
