Movie Insider (themovieinsider.com) offers an extensive selection of movie information focused on current and upcoming releases.
Brian Renner first launched the Movie Insider in July of 1999. As a movie fan himself, Mr. Renner aimed to maintain a website that effectively provided behind-the-scenes news from movies at each stage of production.
The website’s slogan is “taking you beyond the studio gates!”
Movie Insider targets entertainment consumers of all ages. These consumers are heavily interested in new movies coming out in 2011, 2012 and beyond. They want to know something about a movie or DVD before they are willing to spend their entertainment dollars.
We’re looking for a logo refresh of our Movie Insider logo. Our current/old logo and a new mockup logo have been attached as a starting point.
Style and Form: The words “movie” can be lowercase or uppercase, while the word “insider” should be uppercase. Ideally, the ‘o’ in “movie” should incorporate a movie reel with a runaway film strip. However, we’re definitely open to other variations. Artwork should be original; do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
Colors: The logo colors should be consistent with the current website – gradients of white and yellow/gold.
Typeface: The typeface should be clear, simple and bold. San-serif. As an example, fonts used in current/old logo (News Gothic and Incised901 Ct BT) and new logo (Klavika Bold and TradeGothic).
Scale: The logo should appropriately scale to 200x105px because it fits in confined space on the current website (see attached website image).
File Requirements: Transparent PNG (200x105px) and layered Photoshop .psd (RGB, 2550x3300 pixels, 300 resolution).
