Hello designers and thank you all for your great designs so far, I realise jamming things at rapid pace without the comfort of face to face and sharing many coffees makes this hard for you and us!
PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
I am turning this brief and therefore contest a little on its head. As you all know we started with the logo of "casehub.io". Let me explain, casehub is actually a product and not a business, it is the creation of a company called QCAT...that's a Q with a CAT. QCAT makes software for the legal market, we make it easy for Lawyers and Investigators to review documents and tag, notate and run smart analytics so they can find the smoking gun.
What we actually want now is a re imagining of the QCAT logo...that is now the focus. But there is however, we also plan to use casehub or casehub.io as the name of one of our products and therefore we'd love to see that worked into some of the designs along with the QCAT logo. This approach we hope to replicate 1-1 across all our products with the winner of this contest.
The design ethic as listed below (in Brief Part 1) still applies and the color pallet of Indigo (primary color) and Pink (secondary color) as found on the Material design site here >>
applies to the casehub PRODUCT specifically, as its been created using Material Design in a HTML5 Electron App that will run on Desktops for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux (see github electron).
Given that the company name has the word CAT in it, I expect some of you will try some designs using animals imagery... I am not opposed to that; you can see from the design examples in this brief, I chose quite a few with interesting personalities / characters.
Thank you all and best of luck...
As you can see I have chosen some design examples that incorporate word mark and characters. I like the combination and I'd like to see variations where the combinations in a single logo are also split out and able to live on their own as either character (no text) and text (no character).
Please bear in mind that this logo competition should produce the kind of company logo that will lend itself to a number of different products that will all in time have their own logos, this is why I am keen to see great designs where the textual and character elements can live strongly in their own right.
Our industry is legal which most often is associated to Corporate 'heaviness' which is something I want to avoid...preferring a modern vibrant post web 2.0 design value. The logo should still however convey trust and dependability and yet still have the look associated to the modern integrated and youthful web.
