We're a wedding website that helps brides in Chicago plan their wedding by looking at 50,000+ professional photographs taken in Chicago. Each pictures is sorted by venue and photographer, so she can easily find what she's looking for. Chido stand for "Chicago I Do" ("I do" as in what people say when they take their vow). Pronounced "shy-do"

NAME... Since the name for this website contains three words rolled into one name, you might want to consider playing around with using different colors or design treatments to emphasize the words i do. Feel free to play around with upper and lower casing of letters to emphasize the three words that make up the name. It's not a mandatory, just something to consider. Additionally, since the essence of this site is all about about pictures, you may want to consider design explorations that use pictures to create the logo. This isn't a mandatory, but something I thought might work nice. I've included a mockup of what I'm referring to in the images section (note: this is a very bad mock up I did... this isn't the way you have to execute, but just an example of how to bring this idea to life... I'm looking for something a lot more polished obviously. TARGET... The site is targeted to women 22-38 who are getting married in Chicago. She will spend about $35K-$100K on her wedding, most of which is funded through mom and dad, and her fiancés parents. She's been dreaming of getting married since she was a little girl, so she's very excited to find the right wedding venue. She has high standards and excellent taste. She's smart and savvy online. She's probably going on a very nice 2 week honeymoon to an international destination... something like Fiji or Bora Bora. She works for a living and has a 4 year college degree from a very good school (i.e. Big Ten, Ivy League, etc.). There's a chance she's also gone to law school or has an MBA. Brands she knows and admires are things like Lu Lu Lemon, Anthropology, Kiels, small designer fashion brands, and Daily Candy. She doesn't mind buying from big name brands, but prefers to feel like she found an up and coming brand that only she and a couple of girlfriends know about. She likes eating out at nice/trendy restaurants, and every so often will go out to have a glass of wine with her girlfriends after work. BACKGROUND ON THE CHALLENGES OUR TARGET FACES WHEN PLANNING HER WEDDING... Finding the right wedding venue is the most time consuming and hardest part of planning a wedding. As part of this journey, brides end up making numerous in person visits, only to find out many venues weren't a good fit and a waste of her time. What's even more frustrating is all the other wedding decisions can't be made until the venue/date has been set. This only adds to all the other stresses of wedding planning. HOW THIS WEBSITE WILL HELP OUR USER... We save brides time and reduce their stress. We help them by narrowing their wedding venue options from 6-10 down to 2-3. This reduces the number of in person visits she makes which means she can get to a decision faster. How do we do this? Chido aggregate high quality pictures and sorts them by venue. For each venue, we show her what's possible by displaying 25-35 real weddings (each with 10-20 pictures). We also share links to articles about that venue, and social media content so she knows what the "word on the street" is. Once she narrows down her choices to 2-3, she now has something to reference on her in person tours. She can say, "I'm looking for the setup I saw on your Chido page for Steve and Carolyn's wedding this past May." The venue planner brings up the site and says, "ohh... I remember that wedding, I know exactly what you're looking for." IMPORTANT NOTE all web page mockups are not actual design, but wireframes put together to give you an idea of what the site will look like. Once the logo is done, I will then start the design phase.
