For People of Color, Inc.
We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower people of color who want to enter the legal profession. Over the past 10 years (2000 - 2010), we have provided law school admissions consulting services, at no charge, to students from all ethnic and economic backgrounds.
Our services include, law school admissions workshops, publication of guides, bar exam workshops, reviewing applications, etc.
Our Mission Statement states:
"Our mission is to employ our cultural perspectives and collective experiences to pave a path for people of color to higher education through personal empowerment and progressive education policies. This commitment stems from our personal stake in ensuring the academic, professional, and social success of our communities."
Go to our website, http://www.forpeopleofcolor.org, to learn more about our organization.
Our target audience are current college undergraduates and recent graduates (typically within 10 years of graduating from college)--from diverse racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds--who want to gain admission to the law school of their choice.
The majority of these students come from low-socio-economic backgrounds and would not be able to afford our services in the private market. We are fully funded by contributions from our members, who we deeply cherish and strive to serve on a daily basis.
They have high hopes, dreams, and aspirations. And we, in turn, try to make those dreams a reality.
We are open to innovative and creative designs. Our only requirement is that the logo blend well with the color scheme of our website: http://www.forpeopleofcolor.org
Thank you very much!
