Wharton Follies
Wharton is the business school at the University of Pennsylvania. Every Spring, students look forward to the Follies musical revue, which makes fun of the past school year and MBA life in general. Wharton Follies is both one of the largest clubs and highest profile organizations within Wharton, staging one of the largest productions of its kind at any professional school. Over the years, Follies has been transformed into a Broadway-level production.
In 2010 more than one hundred students and partners and four faculty and administration entertained more than two thousand MBA’s, alumni and prospective students. Follies has repeatedly redefined the boundaries of bad taste in music and laughter for 35 years of Wharton MBA History. It is one of, if not THE, most popular event during the school year.
If you are interested in seeing clips from any of the shows, simply search "wharton follies" on youtube.
Wharton MBA students and alums - typically adults ages 25-35.
What We Need:
The current Follies logo is dated. We are looking for a new logo that the club will be able to use for years to come. This logo will be used on promotional materials and merchandise.
While this is a fun and presitgious show, we are not looking for anything cheesy, clowny or overly sophistocated/ritzy, as none of these are in line with our brand. Some ideas we had were to make it look/feel like a classic rock t-shirt design or an indie theatre company logo. However, we are completely open to your own artistic thoughts. We are open to color palette. Please see the attached document for our current logo as well as examples of existing logos we like.
Executional Mandatories:
1) We will be using this logo for both merchandise and our website, so we will need: Print - Vector format (.ai) and (.eps) at 300 dpi full color and black and white
Web - Jpegs and PNGs format at 72 dpi full color and black and white
2) This year marks our 35th anniversary. We'd like the logo to include this milestone, but be able to stand alone without it (since we intend to use the logo after this year).
3) While the logo itself can be multi-colored, we will need the ability to convert it into a single color or black/white for certain print jobs (ex: http://brainofj.com/2010/06/less-is…ays-more/).
