FARoyalty brauchte ein neues Logo Design und hat einen Wettbewerb auf 99designs gestartet.
Aus 370 Designs von 64 Designern wurde eine Gewinner gewählt.
We need a logo for our holding company. We primarily invest in energy, real estate, art, and alternative investments. Confidentiality and privacy are very important to us. We would like the design to be simple, elegant, luxurious and understated. Less is more.
"Pulsar" or "Pulsar Holdings" or "Pulsar Holdings LLC"
Our official “brand” name, although we don’t really market
our holdings and investments in the traditional sense, is “Pulsar Holdings LLC.” But, your design need not necessarily include
the complete brand name. We are open to
simply using “Pulsar” or “Pulsar Holdings,” or you can use “Pulsar Holdings
LLC.” It’s ultimately up to your
creative discretion.
We would prefer that you use rich, luxurious colors (e.g.
mocha, charcoal, burgundy, purple, navy blue, etc.), such as “Old French” or “Subtlety
of Hue: Chic Businesswoman” on Kuler (http://kuler.adobe.com/). We are particularly fond of the color scheme
for Salvatore Ferragamo’s launch page (http://www.salvatoreferragamo.it/)
. To that end, we’d prefer the logo to
look and feel like more like a clothing designer’s , such as Ferragamo or Hermes
(http://www.hermes.com/), or a classic
French winemaker’s, such as Dom Perignon (http://www.domperignon.com)
or Chateau d’Yquem (http://www.yquem.fr/),
than a stodgy, conservative financial institution’s. Nonetheless, please don’t limit your colors
to those specifically suggested, and we certainly don’t want you to copy
another company’s logo.
Also, we like the idea of ultimately using a colored card
stock for our business cards (e.g. something other than white, cream or some
related color), and it would be helpful to have a logo that would work or could
be flipped to work with a dark background.
If you need clarification, need direction or have any
questions, please ask.
NOTE: We did pull an earlier contest. It was our first experience with
crowd-sourcing, and we asked for too much (logo, letterhead, business cards,
and envelopes) for not enough money ($250) and without giving enough specific, creative
direction. We personally apologized individually
to all of the designers who made submissions.
We certainly didn’t gain anything by pulling our contest and hope you
won’t hold our mistake against us for this subsequent contest. We have endeavored to do better this
time. We delayed running this contest
until we had a travel-free week to ensure timely and comprehensive
feedback. Also, FYI, we will be running
a second subsequent contest for business cards (or some combination of stationery
suite items); alternatively, we would consider simply having a private transaction
with the contest winner. If you have any
questions or suggestions, please ask.
