I am a graphic designer with my own business (20 years). I have done many logos but it is not necessarily my speciality. I came across this site and like the idea of offering different styles of designs / takes on logos to present to my clients. So if this works out, I would like do this all the time.
I will choose the top 3-4 designs (and probably add ones I have created myself) to show to the client. The client will pick his favorite. Even if he picks one of mine, the top design (in my opinion) here will get paid.
If yours is picked, I will probably do all the fine tuning of the logo myself so it will be less work at the end for you.
LighrStar installs high end lighting systems. So the target will be home owners in the $2m+ range and exclusive business such as high end wineries.
The company will also target Lighting Designers
Logo to represent high end lighting systems.
1. The logo is to based around the text - It is OK to have design elements that are mixed into the logo but not, say, the text then a design element below the text as a separate element.
2. It should be futuristic
3. No unreadable scripts or cartoons.
4. Colors - Good light colors - Blue is good green isn't. But I am open to suggestions
5. Logo must work seamlessly in B&W & color so I would like to see both.
6. Vector designs only
Here is a great demo of the product they are selling (manufacturers website)
(they like the Lutron logo because of its readability and simplicity- but don't copy it.)
If you design is choosen by my client, I will need the logo in AI/EPS or CDR format, with font converted to outlines/curves. A note of the font(s) you use would also be reguired.
