RecordTV
RecordTV is a Web 2.0 company. It offers a 'TiVo' or a VCR/DVR "on the Cloud" (or Internet) It allows anyone to record regular, broadcast over-the-air TV using nothing but a web browser on any internet-connected device with a 'single click'. We call this "one click recording". There is also a "social element" to the recording.
Recorded TV shows are stored on the Internet (and not in a hard disk at the users home). The original logo was meaningful - with the "O" in RecordTV representing a "Record" button. The "TV" resembled the TV's of the old days - essentially we were helping bring *real TV* to the Internet.
I liked the original logo, because the "O" and the "TV" part represented what the company did very well. The only downside was that red seems a little harsh and I do not see many websites with red as the main theme.
Note:
1. There might be occasions when the logo is white on a "reversed" background, like Twitter and Facebook.
2. There might be occasions when the logo needs to be replaced by pictorial mark of 50 by 50 pixels.
The target user base are Internet users - anyone who uses Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Some other ideas are that the "cloud" aspect could be emphasized in the logo or the "play" button that one sees when one can play a file.
In addition to the logo below, I had another logo with a mouse pointer over the "O" or "record" button.
I've been thinking that a bluish logo that incorporates sky, clouds, recording and/or playback might work... but I don't want to constrain your ideas.
We do *not* want a slogan incorporated, but "Never miss a show again" or "One-Click Recording" might represent the essence of the site.
