Gary Thacker Insurance
We are a local independent insurance agency in North Georgia (suburbs of Chattanooga, TN) that started off as a family owned, mom-and-pop (for lack of a better phrase) type business and are now looking to promote a more professional representation of ourselves. We focus on treating all of our customers as if they were our most important asset, as, collectively, they are. We know almost all of our customers on a first-name basis, and most are family, friends and "friends of friends." We aren't looking to move away from customer care and we're not looking to completely overhaul our image; we're simply trying to reach out into the more professional clientele and have a more distinguished and innovative appearance.
Our target clientele varies from mature insured's who have no interest in using a computer for anything to young professionals who conduct most of their business online and may have never even been to our office. We do not want to focus our image to a specific demographic; we prefer to accommodate a moderately diverse audience as necessary.
Our insurance agency is moving into a new building at the beginning of the year, and we feel like this is the perfect opportunity to update our business image, starting with the logo. This is the logo we are going to incorporate into a new sign first and foremost, so please take that into account. Soon thereafter we will need business cards and an updated website, all of which we are looking for a designer for.
We like a stylish, modern and professional look, with the "web 2.0" feel. Nothing too stuffy or overly conservative. We write nearly all types of insurance, so we do not want to incorporate anything that would tie us down to a certain segment, i.e. an automobile, home, etc.
Attached is our current logo, current letterhead and a few other recent document designs for reference. As stated, we aren't completely dissatisfied with our current image, we just want to update and refine it; upgrade from the clip art/word art image. Greyish blue, black, brown, grey, copper, olive green, etc. are all colors we like, but we aren't tied down to anything in particular.
Feel free to be creative. We aren't intending to constrain designs, we're just trying to be as detailed as possible; however, please no cartoons, clip art or stock images in the logo.
We will be keeping a close eye on the contest, so let us know if anyone needs anything else.
**We will need this as a CMYK image in both PDF and EPS format for the sign company, as well as a layered RGB file in Photoshop PSD, a vector format from Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator and a JPEG.** Hope that isn't a problem
