International real estate marketing & sales company looking for new branding that shows modern luxury & sophistication

Marquis International

We are a real estate marketing company that specializes in listing, marketing and selling luxury homes to both US based and international clients from Asia. Our target audiences are sellers, buyers, investors and developers of luxury, higher priced home and condos in the city, so the logo should remind people of sophistication, smart/intelligence and modern luxury.

I also like gold and silver as color options or black with gold or black with silver, however they are not a requirement.

Besides marketing and selling real estate, we also do real estate development and investments. I don't know if I should just use the words: "Marquis International" on the logo or using "Marquis International Real Estate" -- so people knows what the brand is about -- but didn't want too many words on the logo to make it look too messy.

From the submitted logos, the ones that we like the most so far are the ones with some abstract or creative art in the iconic mark. We would like the logo to be original, memorable, and would be best if it could somehow remind people of real estate (although this is not a requirement though).

Our current logo has a swan incorporate into our logos and our clients have always commented on how easily memorable it is. So, for the new logo, we would like to see some designs with phoenix or horse into the logo to see if we would like to continue with that strategy. To get a better idea of what we are looking for in the phoenix in the logo, please google image for "Chinese phoenix" . It has large wide wings and multiple long pretty tails.

The most important thing is that we want the logo to look and represent luxury, so when someone look at the logo, it would remind them of luxury and sophistication.

We didn't really like the logo that just used the letter M in the logo with no other designs. Because our real estate company is in an urban setting, we prefer not to have pictures of a house or roof of a house on the logo because we deal with condos in the city and high-rises -- and although we sell estate homes, the roof top wouldn't work too well in the city. We prefer not to use rectangular shapes or vertical lines in the logo to resemble high rises in the logo. If not going for a mascot of a phoenix or horse, we are looking for a memorable icon using squares, circles and/or triangle shapes in their designs.
