The Robert J. Nessen Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, Inc.
My Dad passd away from Pancreatic Cancer in May of 2009. In honor of his fight with this terrible disease our family decided to raise money to fight this disease. The money from our fundraising will be donated to the national advocacy organization called the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in the name of my father. Our hope is to provide funding for pilot research projects and help the general organization with patient advocacy activities.
Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest form of cancer with a 5% survival rate after diagnosis and has the overall lowest amount of money directed toward research toward a cure. This needs to change!
Unfortunatley, Pancreatic Cancer has received much noteriety lately with many high profile people dying or being diagnosed with the disease - Steve Jobs, Patrick Swayze, Dr. Randy Pauch, Ruth Ginsberg, and many more. We need to take this hightened level awareness and leverage it to raise overall awareness of this disease.

The target audience will be people who are looking at out website or other marketing collaterall and trying to gain an understanding of the goals of the organization. We will be conducting many fundraising activities that are public in nature - all will be branded with the RJN logo.
Our aim is to have an eye-catching brand that will symbolize a forward thinking fast paced modern fundraising organization. The majority of our acitvies will be technology driven - fundraising over the web.
