Wie Jay Macry das erste logo design Abenteuer antrat
I have been in the IT field for years and I'm the one that people ask all the time - "Oh, you know about computers, could you take a look at mine?", 5 minutes after meeting me. I have done this many times and now want to do it as a business. I currently work as an IT manager with a fortune 500 company and have MANY resources in the people I currently work with and have formerly worked with. I am friendly and get along very well with the people I work with - something that is not always true of the "PC" guy at work...
Erzählen Sie uns, wer Sie sind und wen Sie erreichen wollen?
Starting out targeting localized clients (Central New Jersey, USA). Again, to start, home computer users who need help setting up their PCs, home networks, keeping their PCs running well, virus-free, that sort of thing. I'm thinking mostly people who, at work, have the "IT guy" and Helpdesk to assist them, but no one to do it for them at home. I would offer both housecalls and pickup/dropoff service.
Eventually, I would like to expand to small business owners - maintaining their networks and PCs without the need for them to hire a full-time, onsite person. So, I would want the logo to be able to "adapt" to business owners and not just focus on home users.
If I know for sure what I wanted, I would still be fumbling in Photoshop to come up with some glossy text effect that ends up looking cheap! :-)
That's why I am coming to you creative folks! I envision something that conveys freindliness and competence, as well as someone with the years of corporate experience that I have. Obviously, the use of the website name (YourOwnPCGuy.com) would be involved. Otherwise, you do your thing! Thanks for any submissions - this is my first contest and I'm excited to see what comes in.
