Fun, playful logo with appeal to children for After School Club

The Treehouse After School Club

We are a mother and daughter setting up a new educational childcare business for school aged children (aged 5 to 12 years). Mother has reared 7 kids & managed a community creche for the last 6 years. Daughter has worked in business improvement for the last 10 years (mainly manufacturing), and has always had a huge desire to set up a business of her own. This is our first foray into business together. The main objectives of this venture is to have fun, and for the kids to love coming to The Treehouse, and for us to make a decent living from the business. Next stop... global franchising of The Treehouse After School Club!

Children aged 5 to 12 years who require childcare after school finishes until 6pm. Also the working parents of children attending school, who need their children to be taken care of until the end of their working day.. The environment is specific to school aged children, with activities geared to them. It is a major plus for this age group that they can socialise with their peers in a fun and safe environment.

I would like the logo to be: Bold, bright, clean, colourful.

It has to be suitable for and attractive to children aged between 5 and 12, so simple (cartoon type) pictures may work. Bright colours. Possibly a treehouse in a tree, with rope ladder, bird/bird house in the tree & a couple of children in it.. but don't want the logo to be too busy/cluttered. I also thought putting the logo in a circle with the name 'Treehouse After School Club' in there around the circle/somewhere...but open to suggestions!

File formats required: Jpeg and eps. We plan to use the logo on the welcome page of our website, on flyers, and for printing onto t-shirts/bags, so any other file formats that we may need for these too. I use a macbook.
