Überblick

I am a 40-something woman who spent one too many days on the beach in that skirted fat-girl bathing suit. One hundred lbs. later, I've been teaching weight loss strategies to groups. The method is behavior modification. It is more about eating strategies and a little less about exercise. The method is old-fashioned and slow -- energy in (calories)/energy out (move your body). (Hey, none of my members are heading off to the prom anytime soon, so we've got all the time in the world to get the job done.) I have a masters of science degree in health education. I call myself a Health Coach, and I run support group meetings wearing a lab coat which is an important visual credibility cue. The 1-hour group experience is part weigh-in, part education segment, part true confessions in the round. My philosophy is that there's nothing new under the sun in weight loss, only best-kept secrets. The way to lose weight is simple but it's not easy. The brand is called "Weigh It Forward" because part of the dynamic is that each one reaches one. When we are successful in this endeavor, we each help others achieve success. I'm different than a Weight Watchers meeting; I do targeted interviews in a support group setting.

I teach classes for new members. They are in the weight loss mode. Then they move into support groups where the weight loss is slower. Many in that venue are maintainers. Maintenance is working to prevent a relapse, so there can be a lot of frustration involved in this pursuit. But this is meant to be a lifestyle, so I want to convey to my members that it's doable. Even though I can take males into my groups, I have many more female members than male. I have some couples and their young adult children as members. The age range in my groups is 18-80. The overweight status is 20 lbs. to 150 overweight.

Anforderungen

I want to convey these elements: fun, everyday lifestyle, wellness, credibility, fresh, good will, pay it forward. Looking good, feeling good, and improved health are all benefits of my service.

I am not opposed to charicature, retro, groovy, trendy, playful, whimsy feel. I don't know if concepts like these fit with my message. But Hungry Girl does it well. (See below.) And that is more my personality than a serious, white lab coat health professional. However, I need to maintain credibility and "officer of the scale".

Not sure about including a scale in the image. I think I don't favor using the scale but use your judgment. This is more about behavior and lifestyle.

I like the Starbucks-y feel too. I like the vintage holiday graphics they are using in their stores right now.
I would like to use the image on social networking sites and printed media.

I will need the image in the form of a .jpg and .gif.

I like color and would like it to pop.
