Over the last 12 years I learned the craft of cooking working at high end restaurants in and around new york city. From the very beginning i wanted to know how every thing worked. I tore through cook book after cook book . I to deconstruct then reconstruct recipes. studied different methods. moved between diffrent cuisines . only to fall in love with the food that I grew up with but with a better understanding of what it is. I am now starting up my own concept at small cafe in my home town. My mission is to bring my food experience to the table and to get people excited about food with simple yet refined menus. I believe the ROOTS of a community lie in the connections people have to one another. showcasing locally produced foods create these connections and help people relate to the food they have eaten thus giving the dining experience meaning and intrest. the setting will be small and intamate people will see,smell,hear,taste and feel the food being prepared. my patrons will get to know me my staff my farmers and each other
