Wie Bretforster das erste logo design Abenteuer antrat
I am about to release a new SaaS software product that will help internet retailers automatically trigger an email to perspective customers that abandon a shopping cart mid way through the purchase process. We are a professional team but we don't take ourselves too seriously (think silicon valley start up). We are a marketing focused business and so we want a clean aesthetic logo that we can build around.
Erzählen Sie uns, wer Sie sind und wen Sie erreichen wollen?
Our offering is a Software as a Service (SaaS) product for midsize and small internet retailers. It also works well for B2B eCommerce websites. Imagine that we are selling to the VP of marketing for a chain of auto dealerships or a small business owner that sells products via their online store. In order to get a sense of the design aesthetic of our customers, many of them will have already purchased products like: http://www.pinnaclecart.com, http://www.mailchimp.com, http://www.verticalresponse.com, http://www.demandforce.com. Our customers are business focused but tend to be somewhat tech savvy but likely more marketing people than pure engineers.
We chose the name FetchForce because it combines the sales and marketing connotations of well known products like salesforce.com and demandforce.com while at the same time, the product essentially retrieves online customers in the same way a dog retrieves a Frisbee. I want the logo to have connotations of retrieval, but it is software at the end of the day, and so it needs to be abstract rather than a picture of a dog or something that looks too much like cheesy clip art.
We want a web 2.0 aesthetic that has a similar design sensibility to the products our target audience is also likely to be buying (see website links above). The logo needs to have color, but look just as good in black and white as it does in color. I like blues, browns, gray, black in particular, but if you have a great design, don't feel limited to those colors. It will be against primarily a white background that has a simple modern feel.
I am looking for a design that will go on the website as a vector file, it needs to go on documents as a jpeg and will be used for printed business cards and marketing collateral which I believe is another file type.
