Engaged Communication
Engaged Communication is a PR / communications agency founded on the belief that the traditional PR agency model just doesn't work anymore. We describe Engaged as a "collaborative" with a talent-driven structure and a multi-disciplined approach. Teams are custom built "to collaborate" on each client's needs and may even come from disciplines outside of PR. We bring a team of talent to our clients that they might not otherwise have access to. We also can reconfigure a team on the fly. And, we offer clients a competitive fee structure and a laser focus on results. We also are a socially-engaged group with a belief that social media is a catalyst transforming communications and thus, engaging consumers.
In contrast: Traditional PR agencies are highly structured, forcing the client to work within the structure of their four walls and talent within. But, today's extremely complex web of conversations is forcing PR to change to better serve clients.
Our clients don't have to give up the traditional skill sets (that we've worked hard to hone) to get the "new." They get the right talent, program and budget for the conditions.
We are incredibly passionate about PR and the changes underway and want Engaged Communication to be front and center and the client's trusted partner.
We work with clients ranging from global 500 companies to small start ups. We focus on technology / Internet, consumer product and healthcare companies. We target decision makers in the marketing and communications departments as well as c-level executives. Clients typically have a forward-thinking mindset and embrace the changes occurring in the PR / communications industry.
I seek a logo / identity that feels more current, contemporary and modern (not locked into but am drawn more to sans serif typeface). I am open to colors - but I like interesting contrasts (my last logo was brown and orange). I like greens, blues, oranges, reds. We are not conservative and we like designs with a "twist" - something clever and creative that pulls it together.
The logo can include an icon or design element. In fact, the idea of a "mark" or "bug" (or the ability to add a mark or bug down the line) appeals to me as I would like to be able to have my collaborators include on their materials. I don't want anything that will be perceived as overused by next year (e.g., the two tin cans that many used last year for social media). Words that are important to me that might spark design ideas: collaborative and conversation (as engaged in).
The other ideal is that I can have either the logo itself OR usable treatments (or the above "mark" or "bug") that can be used for social sites (so the logo doesn't look cutoff)
Logo to be created in:
Print file (.ai)
Web: .jpg and layered PSD
