We are a launching an urban winery in Easton, Pennsylvania, and are in need of a logo for our brand. We are looking for a simpler logo. Something that'll look good etched into a wine glass, on the side of a bottle or on our wall 10 feet tall. The logo should incorporate our name “Easton Wine Project” or our initials “EWP”. We would like to use the slogan an Urban Winery as part of the logo.
Great wines start from great grapes and we have more then 30 years of experience in viticulture and vineyard operations. Our vineyard has been providing the local community with over 15 varietals of wine grapes. We will be transforming our business model. We will change our focus from providing top notch locally grown wine grapes to producing exceptional locally crafted wines.
We will differentiate ourselves from the competition by providing access and connection to our local winemakers and vineyard in an urban environment. Distant travel will no longer be required. One can stay right here in Easton to sample our locally crafted artisanal wines.
We will offer over several wine varietals and blends to share with our community. We plan on a complete vine to wine product along with small batches of wine made from grapes sourced from other vineyards.
Our Tasting Room:
Typical of most wineries we will be establishing a tasting room to showcase our wines. Our vision for the tasting room is for a relaxing lounge type atmosphere that reflects on Easton’s and the Greater Lehigh Valley’s local culture. We are located in the “rust belt” of the northeastern US. Our area is currently undergoing a strong rebirth / revitalization. The community’s industrial heritage will flavor the look and feel of our winery. We aim to please the wine loving, craft beer drinking socialites of The Greater Lehigh Valley by creating a hip urban micro-winery with local roots. Easton is quickly becoming a destination spot and residence for young adults. Public and private development projects including the Simon Silk Mill, public market and downtown aquarium prove the growth of the city.
The winery is located in the re-purposed Simon Silk Mill by a small creek in the City of Easton, Pennsylvania. The old factory, comprised of several brick buildings, is now home to about 150 high end residential condominiums, a coffee shop, brewery, restaurants, and art gallery.
A common trend over the past 10 years in the alcoholic beverage industry is a substantial change in the consumer drinking preferences. Consumers are now choosing small craft beers and wines over larger industrial brands. With a population of over 1.2 million people living within a 25 mile radius of us, we feel Easton, PA is a prime location for our new urban winery. The “Buy Local”, “Support Local Farmers” movement has surely captured the area as seen in the growth of local farmers markets.
We will offer our wines for sale by, tasting, glass, or bottle. Secondary offerings, as allowed by PA liquor laws, include other Pennsylvania produced alcoholic beverages including, beer, mead, cider, and hard liquor. A light fare will also be available. We plan on a having live music and catered events.
