East End Preparatory School
We are educators founding a new public elementary school in east Nashville. East End Prep will be a choice school for children from kindergarten-5th grade, serving the city's most disadvantaged youth. Our Core Values build the acronym SOAR:
Scholarship (value of hard work and an excellent education)
Ownership (the school belongs to parents, teachers, and children- we are a community)
Achievement (All children can achieve at high levels if given excellent instruction. Our culture is one of high expectations for both academics and character)
Respect (children respect themselves and others and build a caring community)
We believe that partnering with families is critical to student achievement. I tell parents that the road to college starts in kindergarten, and it will take a commitment and hard work from all of us, teachers, parents and students, to make the journey- but East End Prep will give students the excellent education they need to succeed in middle school and beyond.
Erzählen Sie uns, wer Sie sind und wen Sie erreichen wollen?
We want to appeal to parents in our neighborhood as well as children. Specifically these are parents of elementary school children who are open to an option that is better than the traditional public school system. Charter schools are fairly new to Nashville, so we want to have a logo that the city will take seriously as a school and get a good feeling about.
We are looking for a logo for our public, charter elementary school, East End Prep. The logo should include the text of the school's name: East End Prep or East End Preparatory School.
We like logos with hands, but it is not a must. Here are some guidelines:
1. Nothing childish-- it should be child friendly, but not cheap or cartoonish
2. Either the part or the whole has to be able to go on a uniform (upper left of a polo shirt)
3.The typeface should be clear, clean, bold, and crisp
4. It should feel warm and appealing
Here is our current logo on our website. We feel it is not child friendly or warm enough: http://www.eastendprep.org/
However, we would like to incorporate the green from this logo into our new design. We are open to adding other colors to this as well.
