UPDATE: We have had a slight change with the tagline. Instead of "Revolution 2.0 The Future is Female" we have changed it to read "Revolution 2.0 Creating Herstory." We want "Creating Herstory" to look like it says "Creating History" with the "is" crossed out and "ers" written above it. A photo example is included in the references.
First and foremost, SHE-CAN's annual gala Revolution 2.0 is all about FUN!
SHE-CAN (Supporting Her Education Changes A Nation: http://www.shecan.global/) is a 501c3 non-profit based in the San Francisco Bay Area. At SHE-CAN, we believe that a US college education is the solution to radically change female leadership globally, especially in the nations that diverse leadership the most. That is why since 2011 we have helped 34 low-income, high-potential young women from post-conflict countries like Rwanda, Cambodia, and Afghanistan win $9M in full-ride US college scholarships. We pair each scholar with a team of 4-6 professional, ceiling breaking mentors who help her through her college application process and her entire leadership journey. After our scholars complete their college-educations and gain invaluable work experience at top internships, they pledge to return home and use their education to better their nations.
Revolution 2.0 2017 will be SHE-CAN's fourth annual gala hosted in San Francisco, California (See our last two galas here: https://vimeo.com/193495658 & https://vimeo.com/181229427). It is not your typical "buy a dinner for your company, talk to the same eight people, and eat bland food" fundraiser - it is an evening filled with dancing, inspiring SHE-CAN scholars, creative cocktails, fun dinner tastings, and delicious desserts.
We are all about celebrating female empowerment (i.e. Revolution 2.0: The Future is Female) but the logo should prioritize being colorful, filled with movement, and let our guests know that they are in for a special evening. Our guests are typically are mid to senior-level professional women and we want them to come to our event because they will see it as a fun party.
Plus, all of our beneficiaries are all young, inspiring women and some of that youthful spirit seems appropriate at the fundraiser that supports their college educations!
