Create a captivating logo for a modern Icelandic circus

Hringleikur

We are a nonprofit circus collective in Iceland, supporting and promoting circus arts, with a focus on education and productions. We have members working with both classical and modern circus projects.

Think more "Cirque du Soleil" than "Ringling Bros" but targeting both adults and children.

While we do have elements of classical circus, such as touring in a big tent, we would like a logo that does not lean too heavily on that, because we also work with modern circus and dance, and do not want our public image to be limited to the traditional circus imagery. I have included several sketches our members have made for a logo. These are intended to give an idea of what we are thinking, and not necessarily starting points for a specific design

The name Hringleikur means "ring games" and is an Icelandic word for circus.

Some reference to Iceland in the design could be good, but nothing too obvious. This is for use in Iceland and targeting the Icelandic circus community, so it would not be good to seem like a caricature. For example, one of the sketches I included uses rope texture, as a reference to the fishing heritage.
