Common Ground Friends
I am a father trying to help his daughter who wants to do something good. I hope, in reading this, you share my pride in her vision and see the critical importance of creating an entity (and brand) that people will both gravitate to and be inspired to be part of.
Her idea is to create an interfaith group of high school aged kids share their differences of faith to find commonalities of people. Through sharing, the hope is to create a greater level of understanding which leads to respect and, in turn, a greater sense of harmony between people of all the world. She is Jewish, but wants to open to open the group to people of the Christian world as well as the islamic, buddhist, and every other community in existence. Think the intersection of coexist meets Woodstock meets Unicef and John's Lennon's Imagine mosaic as brand benchmarks.
They will have meetings, coffeehouse expression sessions, shared religious services and, inevitably, a big coexistence concert using music - all as great faith bridges of communication and sharing.
Primary - High school kids between the ages of 14-18. So, it has to look cool, look good as on a vintage style t-shirt, etc.
Secondary - Educators and clergy of those kids. So, it has to have merit and a sense of greater purpose and substance.
It has to communicate "unity" and harmony among religions more than differences of faiths.
I would like one option (at least) that explores the use of arms of different colors to show human difference. Think of the Imagine Mosaic in Strawberry fields. What is the Common Ground Friends were at the center and all of the arms came from the center to the outer circle which shows unity and race distinction. Then on the outside, the hands of the arms intersect like an flower boarder.
