Onyx Privacy is an early stage startup developing cloud based messaging applications for mobile devices and desktops. Our system protects our users' messages and data with the same level of privacy as if they were running their own infrastructure, using a transparent encryption system that renders data on our servers unreadable by hackers or even our own engineers. With Onyx, users remain in control of their data and determine exactly who can see it.

Our target audience includes both Internet and non-Internet-savvy individuals that want to share information with others but are very selective of who they share with and don’t trust the service provider to maintain that information privately. They are also highly mobile. We believe the services we provide are going to be very popular among individuals and small to medium size businesses that want to share information but need to be assured that their information remains “private and unreadable” when its not in their possession (I.e. out in the Internet or in our servers).
We anticipate a customer base that is older, more educated and more affluent than the typical Internet user, a significant portion of which are small business owners.
The logo should include our brand name.
The logo should be able to be used on business cards as well as on stationary letterhead. It should standout in black as well as a two color version; e.g. black and red.
We are really selling privacy and the fact the client is in control of their data, not us. We're looking for something that conveys that our focus is privacy, and are not interested in the following elements typically used for information security products:
• Suits of armor
The logo should convey that our products are powerful and easy to use, but not intimidating.
